As parents, we have a great responsibility to train our children academically, spiritually, and socially. We will one day give an account to God for how we trained them. We care for our children and want what is best for them. What better stewardship of our God-given money than Christ-centered education of our children?
Christian education acknowledges God as the source of all truth. All truth is consistent with the principles of God’s Word. Christian education trains students in Biblical principles that will help them to discern truth that is not specifically shown in God’s Word.
Christian education declares Christ as Lord. We believe that Christ must be at the center of everything. The Bible shows that the teachings of the unsaved cannot please God because they are man centered. Secular teaching assumes that people are basically good, tries to disprove the truth about God, and denies the reality of heaven and hell. Christianity teaches that God is ruler over all, that man is a sinner from birth, and that man is in need of salvation. Christian education is important because man cannot be dependent upon human reason.
Christian education is so important for the family because God’s Word is integrated into every subject and action. Faculty and staff personally know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. A teacher serves as a role model to students. Parents can rest assured that their children will have a proper influence from the teachers in the Christian school. In Christian schools the class sizes are smaller, providing more opportunities for the faculty to make a positive impact on their students.
The leadership of Faith Christian School realizes the importance of Christian education. We strive to produce excellence in every aspect of our school. Our faculty strive to make a positive difference in the lives of their students.
“Placing your child in a Christian school may necessitate a financial sacrifice, a geographical inconvenience, or a drain on your energy, but the joy received from watching your child grow academically and mature in the Lord makes all the effort, all the time, all the money worth it. You should praise the Lord for the wisdom and direction He has given you, and thank Him for the blessings of a Christian school.”
– Dr. Charles Walker, Executive Director of the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools.
