Faith Christian School believes musical training is essential to a well-rounded education. Our 1st-4th grade students have weekly music classes where they learn timing, notes and individual instruments (bells, recorders, and tone chimes). Students in 5th grade and above have the opportunity to participate in the FCS Band as well.
Choir focuses on developing students’ voices and talents to honor the Lord. The choirs also learn to perform through school concerts, holiday concerts at community sites and the fine arts meet sponsored by MACS, the Michigan Association of Christian Schools.
Through Faith Music Ministries, FCS offers private music and voice lessons by trained musicians at school.
We offer lessons in:

Faith Christian School offers weekly art classes to our elementary students. A trained art teacher meets with each class to teach them a variety of art techniques. 4th-6th grade students often enter these creations in the elementary fine arts meet sponsored by MACS. In addition, students’ art is regularly on display throughout the school.
Secondary students may take a weekly art class from a trained artist. These students’ abilities are honed and developed throughout the school year. Secondary students may enter original art works in the MACS fine arts competition.
Speech, Communication, and Drama classes are offered on the high school level. The students are encouraged to use their strengthened talents in competition in our annual school play as well as in the MACS fine arts competition.
