FMM offers a variety of instrumental lessons. Please specify the instrument of choice during the registration process—this is found next to the student's name.

private lesson COST:

Students will be provided 14 weekly, half-hour lessons throughout each semester. 

The semester tuition is $270.00, which brings the lesson cost to just over $19 per lesson. 

Lessons may be paid in full on the first payment date of each semester, or three monthly installments.

1st Semester Payment Due Dates:

#1 September 1, 2023  $90.00

#2 October 6, 2023          $90.00

#3 November 3, 2023   $90.00

2nd Semester Payment Due Dates:

#1 January 5 , 2024           $90.00

#2 February 2, 2024         $90.00

#3 March 1, 2024           $90.00

Tuition fees cover teacher compensation, administrative and recital expenses. 

Your teacher may require lesson books and music to be purchased for lessons.

LESSON MISSED/FORFEITED & MAKE UP LESSONS:

Parents are ultimately responsible for ensuring that their child is reporting to his/her lesson prepared. Students should arrive on time for their lessons. If a student is late, the teacher will give a lesson in the time remaining.

1. If at all possible, lessons will be made up if they are missed due to student illness, teacher absence, or official changes in the daily school calendar (i.e. field trips, snow days). Make up lessons will be arranged by contacting your individual teacher.
2. Lessons missed for personal reasons (i.e. dental, optometrist, doctor appointments, family outings or vacations) will be forfeited.
3. As an alternate to forfeiting a lesson, parents/students may arrange to swap lesson times with another student with prior approval from the instructor. Please plan accordingly.
4. If a student forgets his instrument or lesson materials, he is still responsible for the full payment of the lesson and does not qualify for a makeup lesson.
5. Students missing lessons for sickness should notify the teacher in advance of the scheduled lesson time. If the teacher is not notified, the lesson will be forfeited.
6. Details for lessons missed due to long-term illness/injuries should be worked out with the private instructor.
7. Lessons may be discontinued for accounts that are not kept current.

• Provide excellence in fine arts training 


• Begin lessons and classes promptly 


• Strive for open communication between teachers, parents, and students 


AS PART OF THIS AGREEMENT, WE AS PARENTS AND STUDENTS WILL
:

• Be prepared for lessons and classes 


• Be prompt in attendance

• Follow the make-up policies as outlined on the policies sheet (one make-up lesson per semester, per student, if prior notice is given for absence)

• Be prompt in making payments 


• Commit to studying for the entire semester in which the student is enrolled

• Participate in recitals, as outlined in the handbook
